The Programme develops individual and organisational capacities that will contribute to the strengthened competitiveness of SMEs. This includes actions of counselling and obtaining qualifications, training and specific professional development in certain areas, as well as transfer of good practices and methodical and technical knowledge to address concrete problems.
Capacity development also includes the capacities of institutions to support businesses (e.g. local development agencies, chambers of commerce, testing laboratories, research institutes) in providing appropriate business services, as well as the capacities of entrepreneurs to adjust their market orientation to the demand, but also the capacities for development of municipal structures for a more efficient management of the local economic development. The Programme also promotes the cooperation capacities by moderating dialogue and setting up cooperation networks and platforms.
